Quality, Affordable Care for S-A-W Families
The Creative Collaborative Coalition for Childcare (C4) was a grassroots effort to address and respond to the childcare needs of the Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Primary coalition partners were the United Way of Staunton, Augusta County & Waynesboro, the Staunton-Augusta Family YMCA and the Waynesboro Family YMCA with additional support coming from a host of private and public individuals and organizations.
C4 was truly a community collaboration and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro (SAW) region, including a variety of public and private organizations.
A big thank you to the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge for their commitment of $250,000 from their COVID-19 Response Fund.
Seed money funders included Augusta Health and the Community Action Partnership of Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro. Augusta Health also supported C4’s human resource needs including assistance with background checks and volunteer recruitment. Thank you!
The knowledge and expertise of the area school divisions – Augusta County Schools, Staunton City Schools and Waynesboro Public Schools – has been invaluable and instrumental in helping C4 to quickly identify areas of opportunity and provide insight into how to best support their instructional models.
Finally, we are exceedingly grateful for the countless individuals, businesses large and small and organizations outside of the Valley who lent their time and energy to C4 and its primary partners.
Please show your thanks by continuing to support the work and missions of our partner organizations.
